Manicotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 clove garlic
    1 medium onion, minced
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    2 (32 oz.) cans tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. crumbled basil
Preparation
    Heat oil in heavy saucepan.
    Add garlic, onion and parsley; saute several minutes, stirring a few times, until garlic is golden.
    Add the remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 20 minutes.
    While sauce is simmering, prepare meat filling.
