Mississippi Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. flour
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 c. blackberry jam, stirred in last
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
    Add spices to flour.
    Add soda to buttermilk and add alternately with flour mix.
    Makes 4 layers.
    Bake at 325\u00b0.
