Buttermilk Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, chilled
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 large egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2/3 c. raisins, currants or other types of dried fruits
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Cut butter into 1/2-inch cubes and distribute them over flour mixture.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles crumbs.
    In a small bowl, stir together the buttermilk, egg and vanilla.
    Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture; stir to combine.
    Stir in dried fruit (if desired).
