Breakfast Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

6 slices bread
1 lb. ground sausage
2 Tbsp. chopped onion
4 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
6 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Lightly grease 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
Tear bread into bite-sized pieces.
Place in bottom of dish.
Brown sausage; add onion and pepper.
Cook until tender and meat is done.
Drain and set aside.
Mix eggs, milk and seasonings.
Beat well.
Sprinkle sausage mixture over bread pieces.
Top with cheese; pour egg/milk mixture over all.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 to 10 hours. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Bake 30 to 40 minutes, uncovered, or until puffy or eggs are set.
