Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/3 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sift dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
    Add shortening, eggs and molasses.
    Mix together. Then gradually add hot water.
    Mix well.
    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    May be served warm or cold.
