Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    dash of salt
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, salt and water.
    Cook until mixture spins a thread.
    Pour over beaten egg whites and beat well until candy holds its shape when dropped from a spoon.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
