Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. lard or butter
1 heaping tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
This can be baked in a Bundt pan or angel food cake pan.
To make fruit cake, add any fruit you desire.
Bake in a very slow oven for about 2 hours, but test for doneness occasionally.
This is a good cake for the Christmas holidays.
