Ginger And Onion Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken, cut up
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ajinomoto
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. ginger, minced
    1/4 c. spring onion, minced
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Combine salt, ajinomoto and pepper.
    Season chicken.
    Dust with flour.
    Heat oil.
    Fry four or five pieces of chicken at a time until brown.
    Remove chicken to a casserole.
    Set aside. Saute ginger and spring onion.
    Stir in soy sauce, sugar and 2 teaspoons cornstarch dispersed in water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour over chicken.
    Add 1 cup water.
    Cover tightly and simmer for 15 minutes or until chicken is done.
    Serve with hot rice.
