Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
    2 cans cherry pie filling or blueberry pie filling
    2 c. crushed pecans
    1 cake mix (yellow or white)
    1 (15 oz.) can crushed, drained pineapple
    2 (16 oz.) containers Cool Whip
    cherries (optional)
Preparation
    You will need an 8 1/2-quart punch bowl.
