Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    4 eggs
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs one at a time, while beating.
    Add slightly cooled chocolate, then the sifted flour. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan, then sprinkle nuts over top, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, no longer.
    If the top of brownies cracks as it cools, don't worry.
    It is supposed to do that.
    Cut in squares after it cools and enjoy.
