Chicken & Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large, fat fryer or hen, cut-up
2 cups broth
1 egg, beaten,
salt to taste
flour
Preparation

Stew a large, fat fryer or hen until tender.
For dumplings, dip out 2 cups broth and cool until lukewarm, add beaten egg and salt to taste.
Beat in enough flour until just stiff enough to roll out.
Cut in strips and drop into boiling broth.
If not rich enough, add 1 can cream of chicken soup.
