Borscht Dr. - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef tips
    1 smoked pork hock
    4 c. water
    1 can beef broth
    salt and pepper
    1 can beets, chopped
    1 onion, sliced
    2 clove garlic, minced
    2 potatoes, cubed
    3 c. shredded cabbage
    2 tsp. dill seed
    1 Tbsp. pickling spice
    1/4 c. red wine vinegar
    3/4 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Heat beef, pork, water, broth, salt and pepper for 1 1/2 hours.
    Debone pork.
    Put beef, pork, onion, garlic, potatoes and cabbage in soup.
    Tie dill seed and pickling spice in cheesecloth; add to soup.
    Simmer about 2 hours.
    Stir in vinegar; remove spice ball.
    Serve sour cream on top of soup.
