Baked Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. sweet milk
3 Tbsp. oil or melted fat
Preparation

Sift together meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Mix together beaten egg, milk and fat.
Add, all at once, to the dry ingredients.
Stir just enough to moisten and blend all ingredients.
Pour batter into a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

9 servings.
