Mary'S Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. thinly sliced cucumbers
    6 medium sliced onions
    1 sweet red pepper
    1 sweet green pepper
    1 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 c. distilled white vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/3 c. salt
    5 c. white sugar
    1/4 tsp. garlic
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers, onions and peppers and let stand in ice water and salt three hours.
    Drain well.
    Combine sugar, spices and vinegar and pour over cucumbers, etc.
    Heat to boil.
    Pour in sterilized jar and seal with hot lids.
    Process ten minutes in a hot water bath.
