Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. water
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    pecans to taste (I use 2 c., chopped)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and water and mix well. Blend in flour and pecans.
    Shape in balls or finger size bars. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
    I turn up the heat for a few minutes to brown them.
    Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar.
    A good way to do this is to put the sandies in brown paper bag and add the powdered sugar and shake well.
