Garden Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage
    12 large green tomatoes
    2 onions (yellow or white)
    red peppers to taste (hot)
    pink tomatoes (for color)
    2 3/4 c. vinegar
    5 c. sugar or Sweet 'N Low or Sugar Twin
    bell pepper (optional)
    pickling spices in cheesecloth (optional)
Preparation
    Grate cabbage, onions, peppers and tomatoes; add sugar and vinegar.
    Cook until comes to boil, stirring frequently.
    Remove from heat.
    Put in jars.
    Yield:
    10 to 12 pints.
