Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. dates
    1 c. chopped nuts
    powdered sugar or coconut
Preparation
    Melt margarine on medium to low heat.
    Add sugar and egg. Cook slow for 10 minutes, stirring constantly, being careful not to scorch.
    Add dates and cook until mixture thickens.
    Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Shape into balls.
    Roll in powdered sugar or coconut.
