Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/4 c. whole kernel corn
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening, softened
1/4 c. diced green chili (Ortega) or more if you wish
Preparation

Sift
dry ingredients into bowl.
Add egg, milk, shortening, corn
and
chili.
Beat
well.
Bake in greased 8-inch square pan in hot 425\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
