Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. butter
    red food coloring
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter Crisco
    1/2 c. milk
    6 medium apples, peeled and cored
Preparation
    After mixing ingredients for pie crust, roll out into large enough circle to enclose around the peeled and cored apples. Place in baking dish that has been greased or sprayed.
    Pour liquid over top and bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are done.
    Baste a couple of times during baking.
