Basic Vinaigrette Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 small onion, peeled
1 large clove garlic, peeled
2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. wine vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dried basil or oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Place all ingredients in an electric blender; cover and blend at high speed about 10 seconds or until smooth. Dressing can be stored in a screw-top jar in the refrigerator. For diet serving, allow 2 tablespoons. Makes about 2/3 cup dressing.
