Kringler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. flour
    3 eggs
    1 glaze recipe
    slivered or sliced almonds
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut 1/2 cup butter into 1 cup flour. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons water and mix into a ball.
    Divide in half.
    Press each half onto ungreased baking sheet, spreading into a rectangle about 6 x 12-inches.
    Heat remaining butter and water to boiling.
    Remove from heat and stir in almond extract and flour. Stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball (1 minute).
    Beat in all eggs at once, mixing until smooth and glossy.
    Divide in half; spread evenly over first layer.
    Bake 60 minutes or until topping is crisp and brown.
    Cool.
    Frost with glaze and sprinkle with almonds.
