Strawberry-Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 mashed banana
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine in a bowl the strawberry gelatin and boiling water. Stir until gelatin is dissolved.
    Add pineapple and banana.
    Mix until blended.
    Spoon half of gelatin mixture into 8-inch square pan at room temperature.
    Combine cream cheese, sour cream and walnuts.
    Mix well until blended.
    Spread evenly over set gelatin. Pour remaining gelatin mixture over cheese mixture.
    Chill until set.
    Cut into squares and serve on crisp lettuce.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
