Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bread, toasted
    butter
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 c. cooked chicken, diced
    1/2 c. pimento, diced
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. onion, diced
    1/2 c. green onions, chopped (top and bottoms)
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 (6 oz.) can chopped mushrooms
    1 can undiluted mushroom soup
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Saute diced celery, onion and green onions.
    In a large bowl, mix diced chicken, pimentos, mushrooms and mayonnaise together. Add sauteed vegetables and toss thoroughly.
    Line baking dish with squares of buttered bread.
    Spread half of the mixture over toasted bread squares.
    Top the chicken mixture with buttered toasted bread squares.
    Place rest of chicken mixture on toasted squares.
    Beat eggs, then slowly add milk; blend well.
    Pour egg/milk mixture over the top of casserole.
    Spread mushroom soup over all.
    Sprinkle grated cheese over top; bake 45 minutes at 325\u00b0 or until cheese is bubbly.
    Serves 4 to 6.
