Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. quick cook oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. butter or oleo
    3/4 c. apricot jam
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir in rolled oats and sugar.
    Cut in butter (oleo) until crumbly.
    Pat 2/3 crumb mix into 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan (pack firmly).
    Spread with preserves.
    Cover with remaining crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 35 minutes, until brown.
    Cool.
    Cut in squares.
