Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, separated and beaten
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. finely chopped dates
    3/4 c. nuts
    1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon color.
    Add sugar. Gradually add vanilla.
    Fold yolk mixture into stiff beaten egg whites, using spatula.
    Fold in dates, nuts, flour, baking powder and salt.
    Spread in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cut while hot.
    Roll in powdered sugar when cool.
