Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, cut fine
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1/2 c. sweet onion
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
    1 c. celery, cut up
    1 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    5 slices bacon, cooked and cut up
    2 c. salad dressing (Hellmann's)
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Put cut lettuce in 9 x 13-inch glass dish.
    Layer in order given.
    Combine 2 cups salad dressing and sugar.
    Frost completely. Sprinkle with cheese.
    Cover with foil.
    Make 12 hours ahead and refrigerate.
