Brunch Souffle Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. pre-cooked smokie sausage links
    8 slices bread (day-old is preferable, 4 to 5 c.)
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    4 eggs
    2 1/4 c. milk
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    3/4 tsp. prepared mustard
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Slice 3 sausage links into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Reserve for top garnish.
    Slice each remaining link into 3 or 4 pieces.
    Place sausage pieces into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Layer bread cubes over sausage.
    Sprinkle cheese evenly over bread.
    Beat together eggs, milk, evaporated milk, mushroom soup and seasonings.
    Pour over contents of pan.
    Cover pan tightly.
    Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Uncover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Let stand about 2 minutes to firm up before serving.
