Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/3 c. boiling water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add oatmeal to boiling water; let stand for 20 minutes.
    Cream sugar and margarine; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add oatmeal.
    Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture, stirring just enough to blend.
    Add vanilla. Place in greased and floured 12 x 7 1/2 x 3/4-inch baking dish. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.
    Yields 12 servings.
