Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 egg
1 c. dark molasses
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

Cream the sugar and oil.
Add egg and beat.
Add molasses and beat.
Add spices and salt to flour and sift into mixture.
Beat good, then add hot water to which baking soda has been added. Beat.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
No need to frost.
