Gumdrops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 large gumdrops
    2 1/4 c. light brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 large eggs, separated
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. extra flour (for dredging)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cut gumdrops into 4 or 5 pieces each and dredge with nuts in the 1/4 cup extra flour.
    Cream egg yolks and sugar until fluffy. Stir in gumdrops, nuts and flour mixture.
    Use fingers; mixture will be very stiff and crumbly.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold in 1/4 at a time.
    Amazing, but you have a batter.
