Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light Karo syrup
    1 c. slivered or sliced almonds
Preparation
    Lightly grease a cookie
    sheet with butter.
    In a heavy skillet add all ingredients.
    Bring
    to boil over medium heat. With a wooden spoon
    stir constantly until golden brown (about 6 minutes).
    Spread in
    buttered cookie sheet.
    Pat until very thin. Let cool, then break in pieces.
    Store in airtight can.
