Hush Puppies With Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. cornmeal
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. cream-style corn
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add corn, onion, egg and 2 tablespoons oil; stir well. Drop batter by level tablespoonful into deep, hot oil (370\u00b0). Cook a few at a time, turning once. Fry 3 to 5 minutes until hush puppies are golden brown. Drain well on paper towels. Yield: about 2 1/2 dozen.
