Spiced Fruits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can pear halves
    1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can peach halves
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    4 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. whole allspice
Preparation
    Drain fruit syrup into saucepan; add sugar, vinegar, and spices and boil 5 minutes.
    Pour mixture over fruit and cover tightly.
    Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
    Drain if desired before serving.
