Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. fig juice
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 qt. canned figs, drained and put through chopper
    1 1/2 c. ground pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs until smooth.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Combine milk and fig juice.
    Add alternately to egg mix. Add vanilla and fold in figs and pecans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
