Miss Nettie'S Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

4 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
8 eggs
4 sticks shortening
2 boxes raisins (15 oz. boxes)
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Blend shortening, sugar and eggs and add 4 cups flour.
In a separate bowl, put the raisins and coat with the 1/2 cup of flour. Add raisins, lemon and baking powder to dough and mix well.
Cook at 225\u00b0 for 2 hours and 25 minutes.
