Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
    3 or 4 bouillon cubes
    5 c. water
    1 can tomato soup
    4 carrots, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    pepper to taste
    8 Tbsp. barley
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions. Drain well. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Simmer, covered, for at least 2 hours or longer. Serves 10.
