Doris' Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can green beans
    1 (14 oz.) can La Choy mixed Chinese vegetables
    1 1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 medium onion
    1/4 c. slivered almonds (optional)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Drain and mix the first 6 ingredients. Combine sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil, salt and pepper for a dressing.
    Pour dressing over vegetables and marinate for several hours.
    Keeps well for several days.
