Stay-A-Bed Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef stew
    2 to 3 potatoes, cut up
    3 carrots, cut up
    1 to 2 onions, cut up
    1 bay leaf
    1 can tomato soup
    1 can water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place beef, vegetables and bay leaf in a dish with tight-fitting lid.
    Pour soup and water over top.
    Cover dish with lid and cook 4 1/2 to 5 hours at 250\u00b0.
