Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shelled nuts
    1 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. raisins
    2 lb. mixed fruit
    1/2 lb. dates, rolled in flour
    3 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 doz. eggs
    1 lb. melted butter
    1 small bottle rum flavoring
Preparation
    Mix nuts, raisins, cherries, mixed fruit and dates.
    In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, eggs, butter and flavoring.
    Mix well.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Cook 3 hours at 250\u00b0.
    Makes a large cake.
    One half of this recipe makes a tube pan full.
