Denver Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 pkg. yeast
1 qt. (4 c.) scalded milk, cooled, or 1 qt. powdered milk made with warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients, then add milk.
Mix and let rise for about 1 hour.
Beat batter down and add the last four ingredients.
Mix again.
Knead dough and cut into biscuits.
Freeze on a cookie sheet, then put into plastic bags.
