Granny Myers Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 (9-inch) pie crust
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg or cinnamon or both
Preparation
    Beat together the eggs, milk and sugar.
    Add the melted butter, vanilla and cinnamon or nutmeg.
    Pour mixture into pie shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 4 to 5 minutes and then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until firm when knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
    Watch carefully.
