Chicken Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole stewing chicken
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 sticks celery, chopped
    4 carrots, sliced
    2 tsp. parsley flakes
    salt and pepper to taste
    noodles (desired amount)
Preparation
    Put chicken in a 4-quart pot of water.
    Skim top of water just before it comes to a boil.
    The chicken takes about 1 1/2 hours to be tender.
    Add vegetables the last 1/2 hour.
    Cook noodles and add to the soup.
