Green And Gold Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 small zucchini
    3 small summer or yellow squash
    salt
    1 Tbsp. chopped shallots
    1/4 c. softened butter
    black pepper (fresh ground if possible)
Preparation
    Wash and thinly slice squash.
    Bring 1/2 inch of water to a boil in a wide saute pan with salt and shallots.
    Add squash; cover pan and steam for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
    Pour off water and toss squash with butter and pepper.
    Serve immediately.
