Holiday Yum Yum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. seedless raisins
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. lard (shortening)
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
    1 level tsp. baking soda
    1 level tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Boil first 5 ingredients.
    Mix flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
    Sift and mix with boiled mixture.
    Pour into two small bread loaf pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Or for a large cake, pour into regular sized bread loaf pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
    When cool, frost with white buttercream icing.
    Decorate with nuts and candied fruit.
