Frenchies Toasties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 jumbo eggs
1/2 c. half and half
3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. finely ground nuts
white or wheat bread
Preparation

Mix together the first 5 ingredients until smooth.
Dip the bread into the mixture, one at a time.
In a large frying pan, place 2 teaspoons Puritan oil.
Heat and add the dipped bread. Fry until golden brown on each side on a medium heat.
Place all the slices in the pan, on low heat and cover for about 3 minutes. This will plump up the slices. Serve with whipped cream or canned pie filling, jelly, powdered sugar or syrup. Ice cream can also be used.
These can be frozen and reheated in microwave at a later date if left over.
Makes 8 to 10 slices.
