Crusty Scalloped Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    300 ml soda cracker crumbs, rolled finely
    125 ml margarine, melted
    15 ml onion, finely chopped
    50 ml green pepper, finely chopped
    30 ml margarine
    30 ml flour
    2 ml salt
    5 ml sugar
    250 ml milk
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn (liquid included)
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 200\u00b0C.
    Combine crumbs and melted margarine. Save 125 ml crumb-margarine mixture for topping.
    Press crumbs evenly on sides and bottom of pie pan.
    Saute onion and green pepper in margarine.
    Blend in flour, salt and sugar.
    Slowly add milk; cook and stir until thickened.
    Mix in corn and eggs.
    Stir well.
    Pour corn mixture into crumb crust.
    Top with remaining crumbs.
    Bake 30 minutes or until a knife inserted (off center) comes out clean.
