Mud Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 c. fudge sauce or fudge ice cream topping
1 c. chilled whipping cream
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped nuts (if you like)
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Preparation

Grease a round 8 x 1 1/2-inch pan or 8 x 1 1/4-inch pie plate with shortening.
Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, salt, eggs, flour and cocoa in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon; stir in nuts.
Pour into pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
