Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal (yellow)
1/3 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 beaten eggs
1 can cream-style corn
1/4 c. bacon grease
1 lb. hamburger, browned
1 onion
jalapeno peppers (as desired)
1/2 lb. cheese
Preparation

Mix cornmeal, soda, salt, milk, eggs, corn and bacon grease. Grease pan; cover with yellow cornmeal and brown.
Layer half of cornmeal mixture on the bottom of pan, then layer peppers, hamburger, onions and cheese.
Put remaining half of cornmeal mixture on top.
Cook at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
