Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg (unbeaten)
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt and sugar. Cut in shortening until like cornmeal; pour milk in slowly.
Add egg and stir until stiff.
Drop by tablespoon on greased pan. Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
