Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. heavy cream
    1 qt. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat yolks of eggs; gradually add sugar, beating until thickened. Pour mixture in chilled bowl; place bowl on bed of ice. Whip the cream and milk.
    Add to egg yolks; set aside for a few minutes.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into yolk mixture. Add vanilla and nutmeg.
